Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe is finally free after a five-week stint in a Czech prison after he was arrested on suspicion of murder (a fan died after injuries suffered at a LOG show in 2010, and prosecutors allege that Bythe is to blame) on June 28, but his legal bills remain sizable. At a fundraiser held on August 31 at Canal Club in Richmond, VA, Blythe joined pals Cannabis Corpse on stage for a raucous number. Blythe looked trim and healthy, and his voice sounded in top shape.
Blythe, who has vowed to clear his name, will need to return to Prague at some point to stand trail. In the interim, LOG have set up Justice Now and are auctioning various gear on eBay to support the singer’s legal fight. Guitars have been donated by Machine Head’s Robb Flynn and Phil Demmel as well as Slash and Five Finger Death Punch. Megadeth’s David Ellefson and Five Finger Death Punch’s Chris Kael have each contributed a bass and the members of Five Finger Death Punch also have contributed a signed skateboard.
